Bilde overføring/Photo emulasjon

It all starts with the proses of making a picture black and white with no gray tone.

I started by opening Images > Adjustments > Black and white  

The next step is to open up “levels” Images > Adjustments > Levels and you see a bar with three pointers one is for the color black, one for grey and one for white and you want to make the white and black pointers meet so there won’t be any grey left in the picture.

 

Now after this proses you invert the colors in the picture and its ready to be applied to the ceramic tiles which you have put the special "emulasjon" on in which contains oxides that react to the light used to burn the image. I used this picture of a lion because that is my zodiac sign.

This proses is very cheap because you aren't using so much clay and you are able to use the same transparent sheet over and over again.

This is also such a wide client base because they can bring in photos they want put on a tile so you can custom design it to the clients Imagination, That they haven't only got the choice to buy the pictures you have made for example they can buy much more than just the lion but maybe people with the zodiac would like it.

 

Materials used:

           White clay (“hvitleire”)

“Emulasjon” (which contains oxides)

A4 paper

Transparent A4 paper
